A little boolean that says "I already got dependencies installed. Issuing a "fetch" later should check if there is updates and if so fire off a new build on all dependencies. Issue a "fetch" command a "make" command and go grab quite a bit of coffee, come back and have a complete "sdk" installed. The end goal is to install the scripts in a directory. I will get going with yet another part, which is to either use SVN or some ftp fetching of the sources.Īnd thats why, I would like to be able to override the dependencies in the CMake, if they are already installed to the system. When I get them all to build properly against eachother. by pointing CMAKEPREFIXPATH to the install path of the dependency. There are 40 or so libraries in the whole collection by now, all depending on eachother etc. It will build and install the project locally, so your main project that depends on it will have to find it, e.g. I want you to use my FreeImage, with my settings!" Just as I tell CEGui, "Hey! I want you to use my version of Ogre when you compile OgreRenderer. When I call Ogres CMake from my script, I want to tell it "Hey! I have my own custombuilt dependencies, please use them instead of the original ones. Thats what I want to do with Ogre aswell. Basically, I pass all defines and such from my script to the libraries make systems. Now, when I use my scripts, all libraries with their dependencies are built with the same settings, my own defines, my own everything. There are for example some libraries that have default settings of /MTd or /MDd which makes them render some silly errors or warnings later on when I use them. I want it to build the libraries with my settings. When I go into that directory and issue my make commands. It inlcudes all kinds of libraries and tools that are multiplatform with all bells and whistles. There is plenty of stuff in it, some that might be used for some projects and some that wont. Ogre is not the main part of the "sdk", it is one part of it. I think you misunderstand what I mean though. But for example, zlib which I have in other projects, I dont want one copy in the Ogre tree, one in libpng tree etc. But I would rather not have copies of the same files on different locations etc. And yes, I know I could copy files around etc. I hope I have made my question clear enough. But my hopes is that I can enter all the paths manually in CMake. Obviously, CMake does not recognise $(SDK_HOME) for filesystem searches. So basically, what I would want is for CMake to skip checking if the dependencies are installed and to be able to enter $(SDK_HOME) as the root of all the dependencies. This in turn lets me use $(SDK_HOME) as macro for the SDK's in Visual Studio. However, you didnt mention any when did project configuration (and it may project-dependent to set some defaults). The output of CPack tries to install the Release configuration. My problem is as follows, I got one environmental variable %SDK_HOME% which I set to "F:/SDK" in this case. Check what exact configuration you have built.

The controlled-feed Mauser M98 bolt-action system is based on previous 19th-century Mauser bolt-action rifle designs and is a simple, strong, safe, and well-thought-out design intended to negate as many failure modes as possible and which inspired other military and hunting/sporting rifle designs that became available during the 20th century. The recesses for the stripper clips and thumb hole on the left can be seen. M98 controlled-feed bolt-action system Mauser M98, cutaway model. The controlled-feed bolt-action of the Gewehr 98 is a distinct feature and is regarded as one of the major bolt-action system designs. The Gewehr 98 has two sling swivels, open front sights, and a curved tangent-type rear sight, known as the Lange Visier. It has a 740 mm (29 in) long rifled barrel and carries 5 rounds of ammunition in an internal magazine. The Gewehr 98 or model 98 (M98) rifle is a manually operated, magazine fed, controlled-feed bolt-action rifle, 1,250 mm (49 in) in length and 4.09 kg (9.0 lb) in weight. Since the new IS cartridge had a flatter trajectory the Lange Visier rear sight had to be changed with an "S"-adapted Lange Visier. This was done since the 1888 pattern M/88 cartridge and 1903 S-bore pattern cartridge are two different non-interchangeable chamberings. The ammunition conversion was indicated by a small S stamped above the chamber and on the barrel at the back of the rear sight base. The 8 mm M/88 cartridge which was introduced in 1888 and loaded with an 8.08 mm (.318 in) 14.6 g (226 gr) round nose bullet was replaced on 3 April 1903, by the 7.92×57mm Mauser S Patrone (S ball cartridge) which was loaded with a new 8.20 mm (.323 in) 9.9 g (154 gr) spitzer bullet. At the outbreak of WWI in 1914, the German Army had 2,273,080 Mauser 98-rifles of all types an additional 7,000,000 were produced during the war. In 1904, contracts were placed with Waffenfabrik Mauser for 290,000 rifles and Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) for 210,000 rifles. The first combat use of the Gewehr 98 was during the Boxer Rebellion (1898–1901). In 1901, the first troop issues of the Gewehr 98 rifles were made to the East Asian Expeditionary Force, the Imperial German Navy, and three premier Prussian army corps. The action was derived from the experimental Gewehr 96 rifle. The German Gewehr-Prüfungskommission ( G.P.K.) (rifle testing commission) adopted the Gewehr 98 on 5 April 1898. In the interim decade, Mauser rifles became recognized as the world standard, and the German Army became outclassed by a German-made product in the hands of others. The 1888 replacement for the Mauser was an internal design from the army but failed through an impractical design. Mauser was already selling the similar Mauser Model 1895 to many other countries and had supplied less advanced Mauser rifles to the German Army from 1871 to 1888. The bolt-action design was the latest refinement of the 1895 design patented by Paul Mauser on 9 September 1895. The Gewehr 98 was introduced into German military service in 1898, replacing the Gewehr 1888. It was eventually replaced by the Karabiner 98k, a carbine version using the same design, for the Wehrmacht under Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1945. The Gewehr 98 saw further military use by the Ottoman Empire and Nationalist Spain. It first saw combat in the Chinese Boxer Rebellion and was the main German infantry service rifle of World War I. The Gewehr 98 replaced the earlier Gewehr 1888 as the main German service rifle. The Gewehr 98 action, using a 5-round stripper clip loaded with the 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge, successfully combined and improved several bolt-action engineering concepts which were soon adopted by many other countries including the United Kingdom, United States, and Japan. The Gewehr 98 (abbreviated G98, Gew 98, or M98) is a bolt-action rifle made by Mauser for the German Empire as its service rifle from 1898 to 1935. Its all-new dry lubricant based on molybdenum sulfate helped ensure long-term precision by lessening friction. In addition to its self-winding properties, Despite the complexity endowed by its 278 parts, it measured just 6.5 mm in height, meaning watches that contained it could be similarly slim and wearable. In keeping with Zenith’s historical mission statement of pushing the boundaries of timekeeping accuracy, the original El Primero (Caliber 3019H) was “the first” in many regards. While Zenith’s groundbreaking movement was not actually available in a commercial product until later in the year, it did live up to the name its creators gave it - “El Primero,” or “The First” - by virtue of its January debut to the public. Zenith’s movement made it to the finish line first, announced at a press conference on Janubeating the Caliber 11 “Chrono-Matic” that arose from the Breitling-Heuer consortium’s efforts, which launched on March 10 of that year, and the Seiko Caliber 6139, which hit the market in May. Zenith missed its self-imposed deadline to complete the project in its centennial year, and other watch manufacturers began throwing their hat in the ring subsequently, all vying to be the first to lay claim to the first great horological invention of the 20th century.ĭuring the next few years, the Great Automatic Chronograph Race kicked into high gear, with Zenith competing against a consortium of Swiss firms that had teamed up to develop its own self-winding chronograph caliber (made up of Heuer-Leonidas, Breitling, Buren-Hamilton, and Dubois-Depraz), as well as Japan’s Seiko, which like Zenith was pursuing the project on its own. Self-winding, or automatic, watch calibers had been around in some form since Abraham-Louis Perrelet invented the first one in 1770, but the technology had yet to be successfully applied to a chronograph caliber. It was in that spirit that Zenith, on the occasion of its 100th anniversary in 1965, decided to tackle the biggest technical challenge that faced the watch industry to that point: the invention of a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement. In all, Zenith would go on to win 2,330 chronometry prizes over the years - a record that still stands - establishing the brand as a leader in the pursuit of timekeeping precision. Another of the company’s historical movements, Caliber 135, dominated the Neuchâtel Observatory’s chronometry awards for an unprecedented five years, from 1950 to 1954. became Zenith in 1911, the company taking its new name from a top-of-the-line movement it created that won a Grand Prix for precision at the 1900 Paris World’s Fair. Favre-Jacot, a contemporary of Swiss modern architecture pioneer le Corbusier, took his own pioneering approach to making watches, becoming one of the first to bring the various horological disciplines under one roof as opposed to the more common établissage system that most watchmakers used at the time, which had different parts made in different small workshops before being delivered to another workshop for assembly into a finished watch, Georges Favre-Jacot & co. Watchmaker Georges Favre-Jacot was a mere 22 years of age when he founded the atelier that would become Zenith in Le Locle, Switzerland in 1865. Here we examine what made the El Primero so special in the first place and introduce you to some modern watches that demonstrate how it is still evolving and improving in the 21st century. The reasons for its renown are several, from the technical revolution it represented at its origin to the legendary role it played in the post- Quartz Crisis revival of the mechanical watch. The Zenith El Primero, found today in watches throughout Zenith’s collection, from the Chronomaster to the Defy to the Pilot, is arguably the watch world’s most famous movement - more widely known, in fact, than some of the watch models to whom it has given life during its half-century-plus of existence.
